Words from the Director

In my final message as Director of the Academia Britanica Cuscatleca I would like to express my thanks to so many people that make up our community including our students, our parents and my colleagues. I have never worked in a school with such a strong sense of community and shared purpose. I have enjoyed every single minute of my time in this amazing community in a country that I have grown to love and respect. I would like to wish every single one of you the very best in your future. I would urge all of us to continue to work together to provide a safe, caring and challenging education for our children. I am confident the ABC will continue to go from strength to strength and I know that the new Director Mr. Lang will receive the same support that I have always enjoyed.

Julie and I leave with some amazing memories, great friends and looking forward to returning to visit in the future.

Words from the Head of Primary

The end of the school year has arrived. Our wonderful students and their parents deserve a well earned break. I hope you all have a wonderful Summer and if you are traveling please take care. Thank you all for contributing to our Food Truck-Kombidar activity on Thursday! The children were able to understand how important it is to care for others and how we can make a big difference. They represent our school's Values and Traits greatly and feel proud of what they did. With your support, we were able to donate hundreds of breakfasts for homeless people in Santa Tecla! We would like to thank all of you for such a positive response! To those students who are either moving to different countries or different schools, we hope you will remember your days at Academia Britanica Cuscatleca with fondness and happy memories.

Staff will be returning to school on August 12th to prepare for the coming year. Please check the school calendar for the dates when students return in August.

UK Trip: Next week two groups of students head to the UK for an action packed trip, which will see them visit many sites and experience life in the United Kingdom. I wish you all a safe and exciting adventure. I also want to thank the hard-working team that have spent many hours preparing to make this trip safe and interesting for our students.

I cannot believe my first year at ABC has ended. I look at our Grade 5 students and see confident learners about to head to Secondary and Pre-Kinder children feeling at home at the ABC. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful staff, who work very hard to ensure your child/children are cared for, feel safe and are learning….. they all deserve a well earned break! Be safe and happy. See you in August!
Resident Artist
I desperately needed some student art work for my office. And a talented artist by the name of Lucas (3rd Dixon) came to the rescue. He created two fantastic paintings for me, which hang proudly on my wall. Thank you very much Lucas! Keep creating!!

Words from the Head of Secondary

Dear parents and carers,

We have made it to the end of the year successfully and we are ready for the summer holidays!

I want to thank all the staff who tirelessly give their very best for all our students and it is down to their hard work and enthusiasm that our children learn and flourish. Thank you!

Thank you to all of the parents who have supported the school this year in all the various activities. In particular thank you parents for supporting how we work with your children. It is clear that the best results come when parents and school send the same message to our children as this sets clear and safe parameters for their development.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to the students who have made this year so enjoyable and such a success! I am truly blessed to be able to work with such smart, reflective, enthusiastic individuals and am able to see the transformation they go through as they take on different challenges and take opportunities for growth and learning every day. It makes coming to work such a joy! I hope you all have a very deserved rest this holiday!

END OF YEAR REPORTS and iSAMS ACCESS
Please note that all Reports will be published today via the iSAMS parent portal. Please access it and save it as we will be closing iSAMS access as of next week during the summer for maintenance for the next academic year. It will be reopened when all students arrive back to school.

Students who do not have access to their report today is due to not being “cleared” (not having returned textbooks or paid for lost textbooks, or have not paid any outstanding charges in the LRC.) This has been a constant reminder to students in the last few weeks and they are all aware of the need to return their textbooks and/or pay any outstanding charges.

Please note that the school will be closed over the summer holiday and our staff at CAJA and/or School office will not be able to clear students easily. As previously advised this process will close this coming week. Thank you for your support.

Have a wonderful summer holiday and I look forward to seeing you all back in school, bright and early in August.

Kind regards,

Natalia Cáceres Escalón
Head of Secondary School
