From the Director
Dear Parents,
We would be very grateful if you could spend a few minutes over the coming break which starts tomorrow to complete our annual parent survey. Your feedback is very important to us! The link to the questionnaire is here. We have a teacher training day next Monday. School reopens for students on Tuesday 13 February at usual times. Our calendar is on the school website and this term ends on Friday 23 March for our Easter break. Please do your best to respect our term dates so that children do not miss important time at school. Research shows a clear link between school attendance and both success and happiness at school. It is important your children are here as much as possible to get the full benefits of their education.
We have been busy welcoming new students for Pre Kinder over the last two weeks. Thank you to all parents who have been involved in this process. If you have a child who would like to join Pre Kinder in August 2018 please contact Estefania Chacón as soon as you can to reserve an assessment. We have had a number of trips this last week. Thank you to the Grade One parents for helping with a successful first sleepover. Grade Five are returning today from a successful trip to Portezuelo.
I would like to add my personal congratulations to the amazing achievements of the three ABC Mathcounts teams at the weekend. Their success was very pleasing but so was their attitude, their teamwork and their determination. Well done to everyone involved. I would also like to congratulate the participating students in the Bicultural Art workshop last week.
We have educational trips to Berlin, New York and California over half term supporting our History, business and technology curriculum. We will be monitoring their progress and look forward to hearing their news. Many of our Secondary students come back to exams next week and should spend time preparing for these exams during this break. Other students are preparing for their IGCSE and IB exams in May.
I do hope you all have a good break and look forward to seeing you at the Summer Carnival later this month.
